Hello World! Just making a quick post here to determine if this is working correctly. If you are seeing this then it probably is!
In that case here’s some of my favorite movies:
1.) Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
This 1984 masterpiece from PRE-Studio Ghibli is a wonderful story about Princess Nausicaa who strives to protect her small kingdom from the outbreak of war and the constant threat of the toxic jungle. Its themes of environmentalism and the dangers of meddling with nature are more relevant than ever before.
2.) Blade Runner
This Sci-Fi film directed by Ridley Scott tackles a deep moral question: “What does it mean to be human?” The film follows “Blade Runner” Rick Deckard as he is tasked with identifying and eliminating androids known as “replicants”. A wonderful movie with amazing world building, cinematography, and acting. Plus don’t even get me started on Rutger Hauer’s final lines!
3.) Cars
To end it off with a bang, here is Pixar’s 2006 blockbuster Cars! Although not as symbolic or “deep” as my prevoius two choices, Cars maintains that particular Pixar charm that the others do not. The movie is full of great references and callbacks to an era of American history full of swing and soul. That combined with Pixar’s mastery of animation and storytelling you get a movie that is enjoyable from start to finish.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this small testing post. I hope for it to be the first of many. I would really appreciate if you took some time to check out some other stuff on my website! Have a great day!
